Lightweight, powerful and excellent value, June 20, 2020
The Original “frontiersman” (Minneapolis, MN USA)
I was very impressed by how light this unit is compared to my old Delta pancake compressor, which was actually rated to only 120 psi versus this new one’s 135. If it lasts thru 18 years of brad nailing and tire filling just like the Delta did, i will be even more pleased.
This thing is great. I checked out higher tank capacity models of comparable price to the present unit, but their size seemed like portability would be compromised. This unit is the ideal size and weight to simply carry around, contribute a car truck or backseat or behind the seat in your truck.
The handle is strong and is nicely molded into electrical motor housing. it’s not too loud, and that I was ready to run it with a 1000 watt generator. it’s well built, detailed instructions, came assembled as shown. Just unpack, close the drain valve, check the safety valve by pulling on the ring, plug it in, turn it on.
We use it mainly for inflating tires on scooters, wheelbarrows, bicycles, vehicles, and trailers, blowing things off, berating inflatables at the boat. People at the marina always text me when something is flat lol.
Get a tire pressure gauge, an air chuck, a blowgun, an inflatable kit, and a minimum of a ten-foot hose to finish. The 25-foot hose is far more convenient.
I bought the primary one 3 years ago with a group of pneumatic nailers and therefore the compressor may be a real workhorse. I did all the house trim, the deck and even redid all my daughter’s house from scratch.
This compressor is that the best I even have ever owned (for woodwork, tire inflation, minor power tools.. etc). it’s much quieter than others and that I decided to shop for my other to place at my daughter’s house to offer her the liberty of checking her tires on her cars and other jobs around the house. When your most precious person in life needs such a tool, you’ve got an obligation to urge them the simplest. At slightly below $100, you can’t fail
